Bees

Yellow and black fussy insects are bees,
Searching for flowers to have a big feast,
They fly in and out of all of the trees,
They're careful to avoid the human beast.

Slurp up the nectar, collect the pollen,
Pollinating the flowers as they go,
While they're not home their honey is stolen
,
They're mostly graceful and loving although...

You ever anger them, better watch out,
They'll chase you around, all over the town,
They,ll sting you all over and make you shout,
Then zoom away leaving you with a frown.

Tho they may harm you, you have to agree,
The world would be nothing without the bees!!

All intermediate students should be given a laptop by the government to help with school work and learning.

Laptops, an essential item for on the go learning. I for one strongly believe that the government sould be paying for laptops to all intermediate school students, to help with school work and learning. It would incress the amount of work they get done, insure that their homework is completed and help the environment as they would only need a few school books and a pencil.

If every intermediate student was given a laptop by the government, it would incress the amount of work they got done as they could research all of the information needed anywhere. Having a laptop means it's rechargeable and can be taken anywhere to be used, so students could even go on holiday and still do all their school work. In class you can sit down at your table, turn your laptop on and off you go. Instead of going through your desk, finding your book, looking for a pencil, sharpening you pencil, and it goes on. Also most children find it alot quicker and easier to type on a laptop instead of writing it all down. So definite TIME SAVER!!

Laptops insure that intermediate students would finish their homework, as they could do it on the go. When your being driven to sports practice, thats the time you could pull you laptop out and finish you homework. Also the programs and software would help explain and finish homework that children didn't quite understand, before they got a laptop.

Our environment, our life. Having a laptop would help save our environment as we wouldn't need as many books, and pencils. As nearly all our school work could be done on the laptop we would only need one or two school books, to do art or so, and one pencil. And as every class room (nearly) has a projector we would not have to print out work to present it to the class, we could just use the projector, thus saving yet more trees.

So if you want to finish you homework, get more work done and save the environment, join me in the argument to get the government to buy intermediate students laptops!!!

Year 8 Camp 2011...

Camp was cold. Camp was wet. Camp was long. Camp was fun. Camp was cool. Nah I'm just kidding...

This year i went to the year at camp at Totara Springs, it was great fun! Shahani took Caitlin and I with her in her car instead of taking the bus. We got there ahead of time so we went down to the bottom camp to set up tents. Then when all the others had arrived we went back up to the top camp for a safety meeting. Then we sorted out our groups and cabins, and off to the first activity. Our first one was ABSEILING, it was really deep!! At first a wasn't going to do it, but I talked myself into it Thankfully! It was amazing!! The freezing cold water was great... Until you got in. Then we went to Blast and did some games. One was we has to balance 10 nails on top of another nail sticking out off wood, another one was he read a story about the rights and every time he said right you past the object you where holding right, and every time he said left you passed it left. Man he said it allot. After morning tea, Then i believe we did the flying fox. It was cool, after he had taking some photos Josh started filling cups up with water and wetting us, he slowly then moved on to the WHOLE bucket!! Man we got wet. Then we did archery and rock climbing, (or rock climbing/ archery and flying fox may have been the other way around) first I did archery and I got it on the board half the time, but i hurt my arm when the bow came back so i wasn't god at aiming. (lol) Then i went to rock climbing, and I'm great... haha but yea i got to the top really quick and nearly did the hardest one but time was up so i only got 5/6 or so up. Then we had a snack and went to the hydro slide, funnn!! Zooming down on my tummy was best, but it was really cold waiting cause it was raining. Then we had dinner, and played a game in the hall after, then they opened the hot pool and I went swimming, but as it was a mineral pool we had to keep out head out of the pool. (so we don't get sick) Then it was bed time, i went right to sleep, for the first time ever. The next day i packed up my stuff and went down to the camp site, it was pouring down with rain when we got there so we had to hurry.
